ASSISTANT TRAINERS
Taylor Roney
Taylor Roney grew up in Vancouver, Canada, catch-riding horses and ponies in Southlands before earning her BA from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After university, she went on to groom and flat ride for top international riders. One of the highlights was working with Margie Goldstein Engle, traveling with Team USA Nations Cup teams throughout Europe and North America.
Taylor was then hired as a rider for Spruce Meadows in Calgary, developing and competing a string of young horses and sales horses up to the 1.30m level. She then served as an assistant trainer at Bridgeport Farms in Southern California, training horses and coaching riders from beginners through equitation and hunter finals. In 2025, Taylor joined Bayview Farms and looks forward to continuing to develop horses and riders as part of the Bayview team!
Kendal Hutson
Kendal Hutson was born and raised in Seattle, and started her equine adventures when she attended a pony camp at 8 years old. After catching the βhorse bugβ, she begged her mother to let her take lessons so she could learn how to jump. From there, Kendal and her amazing horse Stanford jumped throughout the PNW, taking top ribbons in the junior hunters.
After stepping away from the sport for a few years of non-horse focused life, Kendal was delighted to step back into the sport in 2020. Kendal brings her joy and excitement for the sport to every lesson, and is excited to help shape the next generation of horse lovers.
